The Legend hosted our family member's burial at sea. The staff was very considerate of the occasion and maintained the highest level of respect and compassion for all of our guests. They are very generous hosts and I'm extremely happy with the service they provided.

To the owners and staff of The Duchess, 
About 3 weeks ago, my siblings and I stepped aboard your yacht with the ashes of our parents, Duff and Nancy Means. Our purpose was to say a final farewell and to honor their last wishes after waiting a period of 2 years and more. From the moment we boarded, we were welcomed by the captain and Danny, the steward. As the boat headed out of the harbor, Danny offered drinks, snacks, and answered our questions graciously, very friendly, and enthusiastic. He chatted with us about various experiences on the boat. I especially appreciated this, feeling some motion sickness and anxiety, his cheerful conversation refocused my attention and calmed my discomfort. As we approached the desired spot, Danny arranged flowers, helped set up our playlist and explained the procedure. He facilitated the scattering of the ashes in a respectful, professional and sympathetic manner. After giving us time to reflect, the captain headed back to the harbor. Thanks so much for providing this service in such a professional thoughtful manner. We are so grateful. 

Eighteen family members helped scatter my parents' ashes off Marina del Rey. The crew of the Legend made it a memorable and wonderful experience. They were helpful, efficient, and kind. The scattering of the ashes was respectful and beautiful. I would recommend The Legend and her crew to anyone.

 just wanted to thank you, Captain Leigh and Francisco for an exceptional afternoon. Everything could not have gone more perfectly. And we were escorted by a pod of dolphins, which was especially poignant because my mom loved looking out for them during our family’s annual vacations to Puerto Vallarta. Captain Leigh and Francisco provided impeccable service and were so sensitive to our emotional state and needs. Francisco perfectly gravitated between making sure we had everything we needed and keeping a respectful distance, and he did a beautiful job preparing my mom’s ashes. We are so grateful for your, Captain Leigh and Francisco’s hospitality and attention to every detail. And you were so kind to display the Duchess pillow and welcome mat. Thank you for making a dreaded and somber occasion perfect in every way.

Saturday was the most touching day and it was very important to me that everything go well. The Legend crew made it happen in so many ways. If i could, i would give them so many stars. Thank you Michelle, Francisquito and Captain Steve. You are the greatest. Also Rick thank you for all your help

Our family was aboard The Legend October 25, 2018 for a cruise out to Catalina to celebrate the life of our late father. We had an amazing time. The Captain and Crew were absolutely delightful and catered to our every need. They were unbelievably accommodating as well as courteous. The yacht is stunning and comfortable no matter where you decide to enjoy the ride. We will definitely see Captain Skip and his crew again in the near future.

Thirteen of us boarded the legend with my husband, Bill’s ashes. The crew, especially Francisco, were friendly, welcoming, helpful & respectful of our mission The boat was beautiful, the snacks & drinks including wine were a special treat. The owner, Skip, was reassuring to my nervous inquiries prior to the day.

We chartered the Legend on 8/12/18 for our mother's memorial service to scatter her ashes at sea. We could not have chosen a better way to honor her final wishes. The boat was huge and better than we could have imagined and staff were wonderful. They took care of our every need and served great appetizers and wine. We were all so impressed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who’s looking to do a memorial at sea, or a pleasure cruise.

Skip and his crew could not have been more accommodating to our family of 12 in attendance on Sunday, May 13th for the memorial to send our daughter Carol off on a tour around the world off The Legend along with beautiful rose petals. My husband has some physical challenges and everything was done to keep him safe and comfortable. The Duchess Yacht Charters is a 1st Class operation and we are sure to see Skip again.

The Captain and Crew were very accommodating and extremely professional. They went above and beyond to help us make our wishes to return my Mother to Santa Monica happen. Without Captain Skip's help and guidance, we would not have been able to successfully fulfill her wishes in our time of need. I would also like to thank them for their guidance and alleviation of stress with the bureaucratic requirements that we were initially surprised with. It was a very beautiful experience.
